Radhika Nanalal has been on one hell of a journey. It’s a healing journey that is still going. A certified Yoga Instructor, “Radhi” is a creative goddess and the owner/founder of I Am Pylgrym – her own conscious clothing label inspired by travel, wellness and her own holistic lifestyle. Importantly, Radhi is a cancer survivor, who is now sharing her own story to help inspire others to wellness. A self-described ‘plant based foodie’, Radhi’s journey started in rural Australia, growing up in a Hare Krishna commune. This she swapped for a strict city Anglican girls school and has learned to process her experiences by revisiting them and can now articulate them. Radhi believes that whatever we have experienced in our past generally will show up in our here and now: We bring elements of our subconscious traumas, relationships, fear through into the present.” Her healing journey has been more than just one element; “I de-toxed on a profound level physically, emotionally and spiritually”. Radhi’s analogy is one of emptying ‘rocks from your rucksack, one at a time’. She talks of the importance of pushing through and going beyond fear, and explains how the yoga mat became her mirror. “Yoga gave me clarity”. This is a calming, mindful and uplifting podcast. It is a story of despair, of recovery, of creativity, both on the mat and off the mat. Enjoy.
